Remote Reboot and Reconnect

During a support session, a technician is often called upon to perform various tasks (i.e., install patches and updates) which, upon completion, require a reboot of the client’s remote computer. Our Reboot and Reconnect feature allows the technician to reboot the remote computer without having to involve the remote user in the process. Once rebooted, the remote computer automatically re-establishes a connection to the support session. This eliminates the cumbersome process of the remote user having to transfer control of their computer to the technician.

The reboot of the remote machine is accomplished in one simple step. The technician merely clicks the Reboot button located on the interface of the Techinline application. This initializes the reboot process and automatically restores the remote session once the reboot has been completed.
